Been a while

So, Ben got in Monday, July 20th at 11:45 PM. So far, we've had a blast. We've driven to Mount Ranier National Park, gone out on my parent's boat to go crabbing, saw Star Trek in theatre (my 6th time!), gone out to dinner, went shooting, and drove to Cabelas. Ben bought 4 (yup, 4) guns, and finally got to open all those packages he's been buying during his time in Iraq-it was like Christmas for him. Actually, I did find an actual Christmas present for him, so that was cool.

Today we're going to have some Mexican food and take another drive to Mount Rainier National Park-Ben wants to spend time in cooler weather (can you blame him??) and maybe do some hikking.

He enjoys being home-minus the record breaking weather. That makes sense, though. He's spent 9 months in 120-130 degree heat, only to come to Seattle and deal with it here, too. Stupid weather. Where's the 70 degree weather and the rain? I miss it! Doesn't help that right now we're watching a documentary on the Dust Bowl. Fun stuff right there.

Anyway. He's been eating junk food like crazy, trying to get his fill before returning, which he will do about 6 AM on Wednesday *pout*.

Other than that...my mom fractured her foot bad enough she has to wear a cast for a while. But she and my dad still decided to go on their boat trip this week for their anniversary. Of course, that means that my dad has to dock the boat and all that, which must suck, but hey, I hope they have a good time reguardless.
